MIHAN AROMATICS // MUNLARK ASH #SOTD
Mihan Aromatics is a niche fragrance house from Australia run by Josh & Jules. I truly relate to their brand ethos; their products are vegan with organic sugarcane ethanol which is softer on the skin and better for the environment. Their fragrances are all very high quality with equally impressive presentation. This house reminds me a little of a mixture of both the natural vibe of Le Labo with the minimalistic quality presentation of Byredo. But with an Aussie edge. Plus they’re great value for money going for $190 AUD for 100ml!
Munlark Ash is the latest fragrance in their beautiful lineup. This a very special fragrance to me as it’s unlike anything I have in my collection. It’s dry crunchy woods yet it’s moist and green leaves. It’s smokey incense, yet it’s soft and round and perfectly balanced. It’s masculine and yet there’s a faint sweetness and femininity that unfolds as it dries down.
This makes me feel like I’m walking through the Australian bush a little while after a bush fire; walking over dry cracked wood crushing beneath my feet. I also smell the green growth of new trees blooming. It’s a beautiful morning and the crisp air makes me feel alive and fresh. I take a deep breath and breathe in all the wonderous resinous woody aromas around me. There’s nothing like that fresh country air and the smell of nature.
Versatility wise, this can be worn all year round imo. Plus if you like woody scents I think you’ll love this!
Performance is good. I get at least 7 hours with projection at least an arms length for around 2 hours.
Compliment factor is great. I received 3 compliments on the same day I wore this!
Musk and amber
Vetiver and cedarwood
