21st June protests. Hong Kong. This elderly woman gets to the front of the protest and holds up the cross to the police. She stays there for a few hours and is still there gone midnight. It felt like she was trying to challenge the hatred with her cross as others chanted and showed their anger in other ways. #hongkongprotest
21st June protests. Hong Kong. With the citizens demanding Carrie lam steps down as the chief executive, the protests have intensified. There's a lot of art work around the city right now and a lot of messages expressing distaste with the current situation.
The Anti-Extradition Protest procession marches beneath the Canal Road Overpass on its way from Causeway Bay through Wan Chai to Admiralty. Protestors joined the procession from parallel neighbouring roads either side of the overpass bridge, creating a slow-moving mass of protestors under the overpass
A group of protestors can be seen here bearing a large Hand-Made sign reading "Hong Kong Stand Strong", in reference to the people of Hong Kong standing up to the PRC-appointed government (People's Republic of China).
