Daily Positivity: Focus on the Positives There is a lot of uncertainty and disheartening facts and information circulating amongst the coronavirus pandemic we all find ourselves living in at the moment. For me, as a naturally anxious person with a chronic neurological condition (whose physical well-being and pain levels are directly tied to my mental state) I truly believe that now, more than ever, it is critical to focus on the positives as much as possible. I'm certainly not qualified to quantify any negative details about this pandemic as a whole, but I feel that EVERYONE is qualified to take stock of their own situation and QUANTIFY THEIR POSITIVES. For me personally, being an optimist and seeing the good side of things is an active choice that I choose constantly. I've trained myself to "see the glass as half full" since my CRPS diagnosis, over a decade ago. I've learned from deeply personal experience that one of the best ways to fight off fear, uncertainty, and panic is to make the active CHOICE to FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES. It's in stressful times like these, amid the age of Covid-19, that I find myself applying the chosen perspective I've learned from my CRPS journey, to my everyday outlook on life, more than ever before.
Welcome to the newest series of pieces I'll be making titled "Daily Positivity". I'm making these quicker daily pieces as a way for me to channel my "nervous energy" during these scary and unpredictable times we are currently living in during the Covid-19 pandemic. These posts are entirely based on my personal perspective and choice to focus on the positive side of things. Every week day until June 5th, I'll be posting sketches of one positive thing I am focusing on during this pandemic. While these topics are a reflection of my personal experience and outlook on the current situation, I hope that you may find solace and comfort in their messages as well. Stay safe, wash your hands, and choose to focus on the positive whenever possible!
