"I was surrounded by commotion in the harsh mid-afternoon sun, and the train was just about to pass through the market. Tourists with their selfie sticks up, photographers searching for the perfect composition, shopkeepers closing up their shops –– all happening at the same time. The sound of the train horn had everyone’s eyes fixed on the station in anticipation. When I look back on this photograph, I think about how quickly the moment came and went, compared to how long it took me to get there. I think about how we as travellers come for new experiences, but for locals this is their everyday lives."
