It’s rare to find water so clear that it it looks fake. These shots are from a lagoon in Borneo that looked like a really big swimming pool under the surface. With @chelseakauai

The perfect sand dunes of the Sahara Desert right after a massive wind storm. All the footprints and imperfections blown away, leaving a beautiful minimalist landscape.

In 1 direction was the view of the first pic- Conor standing on the end of the ridge looking down into the valley below. Turn 180° and I could see the dramatic layers of mountains behind me.

    Adventuring with friends is better.
As cheesy as it sounds, experiencing the struggle of the hike and the immense reward at the end is always enhanced by sharing the moment with people you love.

We left our camp to collect water down by the lake. The Milky Way was in full force, lighting up the mountains with starlight.
We stopped to stargaze and take photos of the night sky. Just as we were about to leave, the moon began to rise, lighting up the peak of Assiniboine with a super faint alpenglow.
Shot the Canon 5Dmk4 with a 16-35mm f/2.8 iii (first photo) and a canon 50mm f/1.2 (second photo).
30sec exposure, 8000 ISO, f/2.8

It doesn’t get much better than this. Yesterday we did a spontaneous hike near Canmore which lead us to some of the most spectacular views I had ever seen. Some of the larch trees had begun to turn yellow with the changing of the seasons, and the afternoon sun lit up the cotton candy clouds.
Once we finished shooting, we set a timer for 2 minutes and sat in complete silence- fully absorbing the moment. I highly recommend doing this to make it all feel a little more special.

Assiniboine is easily in the top 10 most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Like the Matterhorn of the Rockies, this trek was not easy. On the first day we woke up with 10cm of snow on the ground, and hiked a total of 75km over 3 days- up and down mountain passes.
Sore legs, sore shoulders, but beyond stoked on the view.
If you’re interested in doing this hike, you need permits which we were fortunate enough to get at the beginning of the year.

About to head into the mountains for a few days. Fingers crossed for some decent weather (it’s not looking good 😅). I guess it’s all going to add to the adventure.
Here are some shots from a different trip to the mountains in the Swiss alps.

It's finally here! Over the last year, my good friend Isaiah (@srfrmusic) and I have been working on creating the ultimate sound effects pack for filmmakers.
All sound in this video is from the pack.

Isaiah has travelled to some remote corners of the Globe with me, recording unique sounds along the way. Used for rich sound design in my travel films, these sounds are being made available for the first time ever.

Isaiah and and I set out to find the most common yet challenging sounds to find online, and made an entire pack of these.

You'll find the sounds of birds flapping their wings, underwater bait balls of fish, a flag in the wind, the sound of submerging your head underwater... and much, much more. This pack has got you covered.

Stargazing in the desert just outside of Dubai. We spent the evening running around barefoot in the perfectly soft sand dunes before getting our car stuck in the sand. When something unfortunate happens while traveling, I call it “turning up the adventure meter”. Seeing it as just a new challenge rather than stressing about a situation makes such a huge difference to your experience and headspace while travelling, especially with other people.
I’ve had much more hectic “turn up the adventure meter to 11” moments but luckily this wasn’t one of them.
