Don’t call me “brave” when I show my face.
I AM CONFIDENT. Despite a society that insists that there’s something wrong with us, despite internal insecurities telling us to hide, despite the feeling that were not enough, pretty enough, skinny enough and the enough list goes on and on.
We end up on a penrose staircase towards perfection and it’s just that: an illusion.
Don’t be brave, that buys into the idea that we must fight society for what is already ours. YOU ARE ALREADY BEAUTIFUL. YOU ARE ALREADY ENOUGH.
Be confident, support and lift others up, be understanding, and overall be forgiving. Our world has such a twisted view of what “reality” is. Filters, face alters, photoshop all add to this illusion we walk in, our society accepts and feeds into these ideals and it takes time to alter a preconditioned perspective. ————————————————————-
My hope and wish and the whole reason I’ve posted all the above photos is that you know that you’re not alone in these feelings. They are valid, they are raw, deep in the gut, and hurt like the acne on my face. I hope tomorrow we can smile with an #iwokeupthisway
You are loved, you are beautiful, you are more than brave, YOU ARE CONFIDENT AND MORE THAN ENOUGH. (Check me story for a recap on past #freeface
photos and captions I’ve posted) ———————————————————-
Please resist the urge to help and offer acne advice ❤️ thank you in advance for your respect xoxo. Love you guys.
